Shape City

In the classroom we have been making something called a Shape City. It’s where we make a plan and we do a birds eye view and then we make nets and create a city. It’s fun! Here is a photo of my city.

Yesterday on the 26 of November, 5M and 5V went to an excursion called the Victorian Science Space Education Center. We did 2 different types of activities. 1. We did the Mission to Mars Base where you were on Mars and you also had a turn of being down stairs in mission control. The other activity was cool science where we used a special static electricity wand and we made a piece of foil fly. We also made moving robots. My favourite time during the day was evacuating from mission control. I was comunicating with mission control so I had the scary job of giving instructions to everyone else on Mars. I had a great time and it was a lot of fun.

Maths banking

Yesterday we did a maths banking sheet that showed all the items people got and the bills they got. We had to work out the balance after each day. It was hard but I had a lot of fun. Here is a picture of what I did yesterday.

2 weeks ago I did an infographic on Australia’s favourite
sport. I found it interesting and I found out things I didn’t know. Hope you like it!

This term we started a new literature circles book. I’m reading the Dark Blue 100. This book is about a little boy and a mum who live in an apartment that is grey and dull. Then they meet a strang old woman who’s gives them a ticket. They get the bus ticket and they go to the end of the world. And that’s all I’m up to.

Today Mrs Montgomery and Sgt.Shawn came in and talked to us about leadership. They told us personal life experiences and they gave us advice on how to be a good leader. Here are some things I learnt.
1. Being leader is important. Just because you have a badge it dosent mean you are the boss and can tell people what to do. A good leader does the right thing and does the things he tells other people to do
2. When your a leader it’s important to be polite, caring and have tolerance. A good leader doesn’t yell at people except they present there opinion in a polite way.
Leadership is important and helps a lot when your older.
